Public standards

Your privacy should never depend on how much of your story you share.

People should be able to use this website without identifying themselves or describing abuse. These pages explain how the proposed foundation is being developed, what safeguards are planned, and why the independent journalism and future survivor services must be kept separate.

About these pages

The proposed foundation’s directory and educational pages are informational. They do not offer a foundation-operated contact form, intake service or donation processor. Clicking an outside organization's link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. The hosting provider may still retain ordinary technical access logs.

Privacy and future intake

The draft safeguarding policy calls for collecting only the information needed for an approved service and explaining the purpose, access and retention rules before collection begins. It also requires controlled accounts and restricted access to sensitive information. These are standards proposed for future operations; a secure foundation intake system is not yet active.

People browsing the educational materials or using the directory should not be required to give their name or describe an experience. A future privacy notice will specify the actual systems and retention practices in use when services open.

Contact from minors

The foundation's working plan requires a separate, approved protocol before offering individualized services to children. No foundation interview or intake channel for minors is active through this preview. A young person looking for help can speak with a safe, trusted adult or contact an established service directly, without sharing sensitive information on this site. Reporting obligations and confidentiality limits vary with the person and organization providing help.

In the United States, Childhelp provides a child-abuse hotline; Children’s Advocacy Centers can help families locate qualified local response services.

Separation from reporting

What About the Boys? operates an independent investigative publication. The proposed foundation has a different purpose and will require separate operational controls. The working safeguarding policy prohibits using foundation service intake as a means of gathering journalism leads. Access to services will not depend on agreeing to an interview, being identified publicly or allowing a story to be published.

The independent reporting site's story submission page is a separate editorial contact route. It is not a channel for confidential foundation support. Visitors should review that site's submission terms before sending personal information.

Funding and conflicts

The foundation has not been incorporated or recognized as tax-exempt. No foundation donations are requested or processed on these pages. Draft financial policies call for separate accounts and controls over conflicts, donor restrictions and payments to insiders. Those rules would take effect through the proper organizational approval process.

Accessibility and corrections

The directory can be searched without creating an account or sharing personal information. This review includes keyboard and layout improvements, but a complete assistive-technology and WCAG assessment is still outstanding. The resource directory is informational; the foundation is not yet operating confidential survivor intake or direct assistance.
